You'll find the team at Eat Me Drink Me ® in towns & fields across the UK running food & craft markets, organising street food for festivals and project managing events.
Eat Me Drink Me ® - street food, crafts & design.
KMC Squared ® is headed up by Kate McKenzie, the woman directing food tastes at a number of high-profile events across the UK.
Since launching the business in 2014, Kate has quietly built a reputation as a key player in food and drink curation and was one of the first Food Programmers to introduce street food to major festivals, cutting her teeth with giants of the festival scene from Download to Wireless.
Kate creates a number of street food line-ups for some of the UK’s best festivals, while continuing to champion new talent through initiatives such as ‘Introducing…’ and ‘Keep it Local’.
2018 saw Kate joining forces with Grace Dent to launch ‘Dent & McKenzie’ – a consultancy specialising in food programming for events – kicking off the collaboration with their first food festival, Deptford Bites Live.
Now in charge of food programming for Wilderness Festival, she has pulled together a stellar line-up of restaurant stars in her first year. From a Chef’s Table that features some of the most talked about openings of the past 2 years – Cornestone, Sabor, The French House and Fordwich Arms - to long table banquets with James Knappett, Tom Aikens, Petersham Nurseries and Angela Hartnett.
Until late 2017, KMC Squared was still a one woman operation, with Kate leaning on the odd freelancer to support projects. Now she’s supported by a ten strong, predominately female team and was named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Hospitality by CODE in 2019.
