You FETA BRIE-lieve it! We Love Cheese returns with two dates for Spring 2018!
London’s cheesiest food festival, We Love Cheese, is back - this time with not one but two dates for Spring. The free event will be returning to its home at Dickens Yard, Ealing on Sunday 22nd April followed by a trip across the river to Deptford Market Yard on Saturday 5th May.
Once again, it will play host to a cheesy selection of food traders. In Ealing, you’ll find the likes of Raclette Brothers with their traditional alpine classics, Mac to the Future dishing up the finest mac ‘n’ cheese, Muffin Man & Co’s halloumi or Ogleshield topped breakfast muffins and The Good Slice’s seasonal Italian pizzas. It’s a food line up not to miss!
Expect an extensive selection of cheese producers & importers, all vying to win the coveted We Love Cheese Cup. Returning champions Capo Caccia will be joined by the likes of Heritage Cheese, Somerset Ploughman, Bath Soft Cheese and The French Comte – and you decide who wins!
Voting cards are £8 in advance + booking fee or £10 on the day and include tasters of all the cheeses in the competition and complimentary drink. Get your tasting cards for Ealing here and Deptford here.
Guests can visit the sought after ‘Ealing Bites Live’ talks tent, hosted by the nationally renowned food critic Grace Dent. Ealing based brewery Weird Beard Brew Co and Acton wine experts Park & Bridge will join Heritage Cheese to host pairing sessions to help you find the perfect beverage to partner with any cheese.
Or guests could spin the Wheel of Cheese to be in with a chance to win a really great prize.
With live music, a Little Artisans cheese themed craft tent and a whole range of stalls selling artisan bread, charcuterie, olives and more - it’s a cheese lover’s dream.
The second date for all fromage addicts sees We Love Cheesehead south to Deptford Market Yard on Saturday 5th May. Raclette Brothers and Mac to the Future will be joined by South London’s grilled cheese connoisseurs Meltsmiths, Original Fry Up Material and What the Fattoush.
While permanent residents of the yard will serve up their own cheesy specials for the day and Shane Holland, Chairman of Slow Food in the UK hosts the Deptford Bites Live talks and tasting tent.
Both We Love Cheese events are free to attend. Tickets for the We Love Cheese cup are available in advance online, while seats at the tasting & pairing sessions can be booked on the day.
