Flaming Bonsai is a small producer of oils, pickles, sauces and preserves, all showing owner Toby Kent's taste for the exotic and love of spice, which ignites their products with more than a little chili heat. Toby began his food-making journey when challenged by a friend to make a chili oil as good as the dim sum restaurant where they were dining. After many attempts and a few tears (chili juice burns your eyes!) he finally concocted the perfect blend of chili and garlic that infuses Flaming Bonsai's Chiu Chow Chili Oil. He now creates a range of oils, pickles and sauces using fresh ingredients, little or no sugar or preservatives, and as much local produce as possible.
