Venus Mala owner Virginia previously worked selling luxury diamond jewellery and has a fascination for the energy and meaning behind beautiful stones. Since becoming a Yoga teacher, she had a yearning to create Malas, and it has become her meditation. As she creates each Mala, she is completely immersed in the actions and becomes totally at one with the task, which she hopes is conveyed in her designs.
Each handmade Mala uses 108 semi-precious stones, as well as Sandalwood and Rudraksha seed. Each bead is mindfully threaded onto silk, hand knotted, and finished with a guru bead and a handmade Japanese silk tassel. Virginia can repair broken Malas and is open to custom designing for individual requests.
